Our customized foam can work with any and all treatment table tops and devices. This superior foam, placed between your patient and your treatment device, creates a durable and customized form that keeps the patient in the exact same position throughout treatment. Risks Associated with Vacuum Bags
Without a firm flat base, vacuum bags cannot immobilize and will pull away from the patient instead of forming snugly around them. The bags may also leak air, which can delay treatment as it becomes necessary to re-create the form and simulation.
Vac bags are not sterilized between patients, which may lead to potentially serious consequences. Contamination and cross infection can occur, reducing the benefit of treatment and compromising both the patient’s and hospital’s safety.
Potential Hazards of Antimicrobial Products
Reusable antimicrobial positioners may expose your patient to chemicals including DI(2-ETHYLHEXYL) PHTHALATE (DEHP). These are known by the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. See: https://www.p65warnings.ca.gov/
